The Department of Mathematics is able to motivate the students towards sound theoretical and practical knowledge in mathematics. The department creates an environment where researchers with clear thinking and determination who can, in future, become experts in relevant areas of mathematics, statistics, computer science banking sectors or even if in corporate world.

There are several advanced courses being taught which have various real life applications nowadays such as: Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Biology, Combinatorics, Probability & Statistics, Mathematical Physics, Dynamical system, Linear Algebra, Operations research etc. Also, for our students, we provide the access of various advanced software training such as MATLAB, MATHEMATICA, C-Programming, R-Programming etc. The Department of Mathematics at Sister Nivedita University has strived to be a centre of excellence in mathematics and computing, and it has been vigorously engaged in research, teaching and training.

I did some research works with my students of Techno Main salt lake. They could able to publish two research papers in peer reviewed SCI indexed journals by Elsevier (Procedia Engineering, 2017) and Taylor and Francis (Waves in Random and Complex Media, 2019).
