Department of Statistics

The Department of Statistics, Sister Nivedita University offers under graduation and post graduation courses in Statistics. In our program, we aim to develop statisticians not only for academia, but also ones who will become successful in every sort of fields such as medicine, law, finance, technology, government, and industry. Our program is a stepping stone to a successful career in statistics. The department offers courses that provide students with strong foundations in theoretical and applied statistics. We have also offered a very special seminar paper named ‘Mentored Seminar’ in which students have to give lectures on randomly given topics which make them confident and enhance their communication skill.

The faculties of the Department of Statistics at Sister Nivedita University pursue advanced statistical methodology and theory by strong and innovative thinking about complex applied problems. Our faculties are always ready for accepting challenging problems in many areas of science, social science, humanities and technology and then generalizing them into broadly applicable statistical techniques.
